Sunglasses are important throughout the year; although, we do focus on them more during the summer months. LBB’s Twenty20 Vision Aids Store has a variety of sunglasses designed to aid our clients with low vision. There are a wide range of colored filters to help minimize eye discomfort and maximize visual resolution. Depending on your specific vision loss, we may have the perfect sunglasses to help with your vision in addition to blocking UVA/UVB rays. There are also polarized options to prevent reflective glare preventing eye discomfort. The store is a great source for low vision assistive devices. Cataracts are clouding of the eye’s lens which blocks or changes the passage of light into the eye. Symptoms may include seeing halos around lights, faded colors, blurry vision, and trouble driving, reading, or doing other daily tasks. Although most cataract cases are in older adults, children may also develop pediatric cataracts. Fortunately, cataracts can be treated successfully through surgery where a doctor removes the damaged lenses and replaces it. Early detection and treatment of cataracts is critical to preserving sight. #seeingindependence
