LBB’s Youth Group attended the Night of JOY celebration Saturday night at The Lodge at Wakulla Springs. This is a spring prom for Wakulla County middle school and young adults with disabilities. The night included dancing, food, and prizes ranging from Jimmy John's gift baskets to karaoke machines. The event is held by JOY-Filled Journeys Corp which is a nonprofit foundation held for children and young adults with disabilities in Wakulla County. #guidingpeoplethroughvisionloss #seeingindependence #nightofjoy #prom #joyfilledjourneyscorp

For our clients and friends wanting to watch the Funeral for Pope Francis please note, CBS will be providing live audio description on Saturday, April 26 for the CBS News Special Report coverage. The live coverage in all time zones will begin at 4:00 am ET and will conclude sometime around the 6:00 am ET. CBS will present the full CBS broadcast with audio description on the Secondary Audio Program channel (SAP). The live description will be provided by Descriptive Video Works. The broadcast will be available with additional audio narration, describing the rich visuals of the special funeral service. You will need to turn on the SAP feature on your tv and remember to turn it off after the coverage. During LBB’s Intermediate Braille Group last week, Pearl and Karen enjoyed a friendly game of Fast Cells! Participants were challenged to complete phrases and words using the long-time methods of braille dots in muffin pans. The ladies had fun! LBB offers beginning and intermediate braille classes.
